I had an office job, a good job. But I wanted freedom from the nine to five day. I also wanted to have more money for travel as well as investing in property and shares. I felt constrained.

Here are the tips which worked for me:
- Setup an office away from the family which is your workplace.

- Track what you earn by the hour worked.
- Set yourself financial goals, it may be a trip overseas, a new home, college paid for or a share portfolio. A goal is important as this is your motivator.
- Set yourself personal goals. Remember and focus on why you wanted out of the nine to five rat race.
